one 1X6 x 42" piece of pine or 3/4" thick plywood
one 3 1/2" x 8 3/4" piece of 3/4" thick birch plywood or 3/4" thick hardwood
one 1" dia. x 5 1/4" long wood dowel

Hardware: required for assembly
eight #10 x 1 1/2" long, flat head screws
three 5/16" dia. x 7 1/2" long bolts
one 5/16" dia. x 6" long bolts
two 5/16" dia. x 2" long carriage bolts
four 5/16" dia. lock nuts
fourteen 5/16" I.D. washers

Tools:
table saw or circular saw, band saw or hand held sabre saw with a smooth cutting non-chipping blade, coping saw
drill with 7/64", 3/16", 5/16", 3/8" and 1" dia. drill bits
hammer
screwdriver

transfer paper, pencil & clear tape
sand paper-medium & fine grits
wood filler-non shrinking, fast drying for wood flaws
paint brush-2" wide brush
wood glue-exterior
