Crazy Spinner 2 Wood Pattern

This large and crazy layered spinning project is just plain fun to watch!! This red, white and blue design has three layers that spin independently in the wind with the middle layer spinning in the opposite direction. (40" in diameter)

Project also requires 3 fiberglass Yard Stakes #YS18 and 1 pkg Clamps #YSC2 (not included in Spinner Parts Kit).

Dimensions: 40" dia.

Wood:
two 24" x 24" x 1/8" thick pieces of Luan plywood (#LUAN812)
one 67" long 2X4 pine board and one 36" long 1X6 pine board

Tools:
table saw or bandsaw with a smooth cutting non-chipping blade
electric drill and 1/2", 3/8" and 3/16" dia. drill bits

Hardware:
three 3/8" dia. x 18" long fiberglass yard stakes (#YS18)
four 3/8" yard stake clamps with screws (#YSC2)

Supplies:
sand paper-medium & fine grits
wood filler-non shrinking, fast drying for wood flaws (#WF8)
glue-outdoor wood glue
glue-2 part epoxy, slow dry
grease-white lithium spray

Paint:
White water base primer (#PRIMQT) for a base coat
PP07-geranium red
PP10-summer sky blue
PP14-cloud white
PP21-wrought iron black

Sealer: (Optional) High-grade, non-yellowing, semi-gloss UV protected project sealer for outdoor protection.
