The Story
This Huge HOPE Nativity project is sure to get HUGE attention when you display it in your yard this Christmas!
120" tall including the Star, Letters 93" tall
Wood:
Five 48" x 96" x 3/4" thick exterior grade plywood, preferably 5-ply for better stability
Hardware:
Stakes - Ten 3/8" dia. x 18" long, fiberglass stakes (10 - #YS18)
Clamps - Twenty 3/8" clamps with screws (2 packs of #YSC2)
Eyescrews - Ten 5/16" I.D. (1 pack of #EYE3)
Hinges - Five heavy duty with screws (5 - #BHNG15)
Tools:
Table saw and hand held sabre saw with a smooth cutting non-chipping, scrolling blade
Paint:
White water base primer (#PRIMQT) for a base coat and the following suggested colors of Outdoor Patio Paint:
PP07 Geranium Red
PP14 Cloud White
?á ?á ?á Optionally, because of the large area to be painted Red, you may wish to purchase a gallon of outdoor paint from a local store mixed to a bright Christmas Red color.
Sealer: (optional)
High-grade, non-yellowing, semi-gloss UV protected project sealer (#POLYQT or #POLYGN) for outdoor protection.
The bright red Letters in this HUGE display are almost 8 feet tall and it measures almost 10 feet tall to the tip of the Star. All pieces in this project can be cut from 5 sheets of 3/4" thick plywood using only a hand held jigsaw.
Our full-size pattern consists of three large 36" x 96" paper sheets and includes step-by-step instructions.
