You make it from tin cans and weathered wood salvaged from old shipping pallets. Then you make it look old using the easy techniques included on our full-size patterns. Everyone that sees this unique rustic birdhouse will want one--so be prepared to make a few extra!
Our clever Birdhouse features a covered side area for bird feed and room for four lucky Bird families. The front and back center panels remove for easy clean out. (14" tall)

One 4 x 4 x desired length post
5/32" thick Finnish plywood - two 16" x 16" sheets (#FPLY516)
Places to Find Pallets - Contact local companies that receive larger inventory items such as an appliance store, garden stores, nurseries, and lumber yards. Do a search on craigslist.org using search words "wooden pallets" or "pallets". Drive through the nearest industrial area.
Note: Pine boards or low-cost fence boards can also be used to make this project in lieu of salvaged pallet boards.
