WOOD:
Use Select #1 grade redwood or cedar (knot free).
If you don't mind the look of knots in your project, use a lower cost #2 grade lumber
Two 16" x 24" pieces of 1/4" thick finish plywood (#FPLY4)
Saw:
Table Saw or Circular Saw
Hand held sabre saw with a smooth cutting, non-chipping blade
